Ministry sees 0.3–0.4% inflation in Jul, 0–0.1% deflation in Aug
MOSCOW, Jul 13 (PRIME) -- The Economic Development Ministry expects Russia’s inflation to amount to 0.3–0.4% in July, and deflation of 0.0–0.1% in August, the ministry said in a report on Friday.
“According to the Economic Development Ministry, monthly consumer price growth will return to 0.3–0.4% in July and fall to zero or minus 0.1% in August. In annual terms, inflation is to speed up to 2.5–2.6% in July and to 2.9–3.1% in August due to a low base of corresponding months of the previous year,” the ministry said.
In June, Russia’s inflation fell to 2.3% in annual terms from 2.4% in March–May, but increased to 0.5% in monthly terms due to an increase of tariffs.
